CatchYak AI
Know when to go and what to throw
A fishing guide built for kayaks. It reads conditions at your lake and tells you whether to launch, where to go, what to throw, and how to hold your position.
In beta on iPhone through TestFlight. Coming to the App Store and Google Play.

What it does
- Safety check before you launch
- A safety gauge weighs wind speed and direction, temperature, and conditions for a small craft, so you know before you load up whether today is a good day to be out.
- Bass activity and bite reports
- A quick read on what the fish are likely doing right now, with one lure, one color, and one positioning tip you can act on immediately.
- Trip plans, hour by hour
- Tell it your lake, time window, kayak, and water clarity. You get a launch window, an hour-by-hour route, safety notes, and a rod-by-rod setup that matches the plan.
- A map made for paddling range
- Launch points, likely spots, and wind shown on the map, with routes chosen around how far a paddle, pedal, or trolling-motor kayak can realistically go.
- Sun and moon timing
- A solunar guide for any date, so you can line up a trip with the major and minor feeding periods.
- Catch log with photos
- Record species, size, lure, and conditions for each fish, with an optional photo. Your log lives on your phone.
- Kayak loadouts
- Save each kayak you fish from, whether it’s paddle, pedal, or motor driven, and plans adjust to the boat you’re using.
- Float plan
- Share where you’re launching, your route, and when you expect to be back with someone on shore.
Where it works
CatchYak AI isn’t limited to a list of lakes. Search for any lake in North America, confirm it, and the app finds nearby launch points and builds plans from that lake’s live conditions. It covers eight species, starting with largemouth bass.
Free and Pro
CatchYak AI will be free to download. An optional Pro subscription will unlock unlimited use and additional features. Pricing will be shown in the app before you buy, and subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
